Principal's Message

A Message From Our Principal:

Dear Liberty Patriots,

What a wonderful year of learning and growing we are having so far here at Liberty School!  I am Cindy Duncan, the principal of Liberty. It is quite an honor to work with such an amazing school community of students, parents and faculty.  Each morning I look forward to seeing all the happy faces of our Liberty students, and it is such a pleasure to witness the joy and excitement for each school day!

We are having and will continue to have a fun filled year of events including our fall movie night, Lunch on the Lawns, Barbeque fund-raiser, the jog-a-thon and also the evening fund-raisers at local restaurants.  Our 5th graders had a wonderful experience traveling to Los Angeles to see the King Tut exhibit, and our 6th graders will be attending Rancho El Chorro Outdoor School for 4 days in February. Additionally, our 3rd-6th grades will attend local colleges and Universities for college tours to promote college and career readiness.

Our new wing of classrooms were completed over the summer.  When you get a chance, feel free to pop in and take a look at their 21st century designs. We have also seen our garden start to take shape this fall and our students and families have enjoyed fresh vegetables, including tomatoes, zucchini, squash, corn, and peppers. It will be exciting to witness new and exciting vegetables flourish throughout the year.

The school-home connection is very important, so please feel free to visit or call Liberty any time. We send out parent squares as much as possible to keep parents informed of upcoming events, but feel free to contact us at any time.

Your child’s education and safety is of our highest priority, however, your child needs to be at school and arrive on time every day to obtain the greatest benefit of this.  Please make sure your child gets 9-10 hours of sleep at night and has a healthy breakfast at home, or arrives at school by 7:45 to eat the school provided meal. Also, please make your best effort to schedule any appointments after the regular school day.

At Liberty school we recognize that tending to the heart and soul and building relationships is just as important as educating the mind. The way we act is far more important than what we say.  We are all here to be the best possible human beings we can be, and Liberty School is proud to practice responsibility, courage, respect, knowledge, trustworthiness and independence.

Sincerely,

Cindy Duncan
